His mother kept his name Shivaji after the name of Lord Shiva who kept praying for a healthy family Shivaji's father Shahaji Bhosle was a Maratha general who used to work for the Deccan Sultanate .

The mother of Shivaji Maharaj was the daughter of Jijabai Sindhkhed, the daughter of Lakhujirao Jadhav During the birth of Shivaji, Deccan's power was in three Islamic Sultanate Bijapur, Ahmednagar and Golconda Shahaji often used to change his loyalty between the Nizamshahi Adilshah and the Mughals, but his palanquin always kept Pune and his small army was also with him .

Shivaji Maharaj was very devoted to his mother Jijabai who was very religious Religious atmosphere had a profound impact on Shivaji due to which Shivaji heard the stories of great Hindu texts Ramayana and Mahabharata to his mother Because of these two texts, he used to defend the Hindu values for life During this time, Shahaji did another marriage and with his second wife Tukabai Shahaji went to Adilshah in Karnataka for military campaigns.

He left Shivaji and Jijabai and made his protector Dadoji Konde Dadoshi taught Shivaji the basic fighting techniques like horse riding, fencing and shooting. Shivaji Maharaj was an enthusiastic warrior since childhood but for this reason, he was given only formal education in which he could not read and write but he still remembered them, he was well remembered Shivaji, assembled his peers and army from Maval region.

To make him powerfull they roamed the hills and forests of Sahyadri range for knowledge of their motherland so that they could be ready for military efforts.

At the age of 12, Shivaji was taken to Bangalore where his senior brother Sambhaji Sambhaji and his Cousin brother Akoji were already formally trained. Shivaji Maharaj was married to Saibai of Nimbalkar family in 1640 In 1645, Kishore Shivaji first manifested the concept of Hindavi Swarajya in front of grandfather Nars Prabhu Shivaji's conflict with Adilshahi sultanate .

In 1645, at the age of 15, Shivaji Maharaj attacked the Adilshah army without invoking the invasion and won the Torna fort Firangoji Narasala accepted Shivaji's patriotism and Shivaji captured the fort of Kondana Some facts tell us that Shahaji was released in 1649 on the condition that Shivaji and Sambhaji should leave the fort of Kondana but some facts tell Shahaji in prison from 1653 to 1655 After the release of Shahaji, he was discharged from public life and during the hunting, he died around 1645 Shivaji Maharaj, after the death of his father again took control of Jawali's empire from neighboring Maratha chief in 1656.

In 1659, Adilshah sent an experienced and legendary commander Afzal Khan to destroy Shivaji Maharaj so that he would reduce regional revolt On November 10, 1659, they met in a cottage on the foothills of Pratapgad Fort Such a decree was made that both of them would come with only one sword Shivaji Maharaj doubted that Afzal Khan would come up with a strategy to attack them so Shivaji kept his armor under his clothes, hide the tiger nails on the right side and Knife on the left side.

According to the facts, either of the two did the first attack In the Maratha history Afzal Khan has been described as treacherous whereas in Parsi history, Shivaji is described as treacherous In this fight, Afzal Khan's knife was stopped by Shivaji's armor and Shivaji's weapon Tiger nails made too many deadly wounds on Afzal Khan which led to his death After this, Shivaji instructed his hideouts to attack Bijapur.

The battle of Pratapgad was fought on November 10, 1659 in which Shivaji's army defeated the army of the Sultanate of Bijapur Active Maratha infantry and horseman started attacking Bijapur and attacked Bijapur before it was ready. Maratha army pushed back Bijapur army. 3000 soldiers of Bijapur army were killed and two sons of Afzal Khan were taken captive With this bravery Shivaji became a hero and great hero in folk song .

The Maratha army became stronger with a large number of seized weapons horses, and other military equipment Mughal emperor Aurangzeb considered Shivaji a big threat to the Mughal empire. In 1660, Adilshah, with his new army chief, Siddi Jauhar, formed an alliance with the Mughals At that time Shivaji's army was camped in Panhala [present-day Kolhapur] Siddi Johar's army closed the supply routes from the fort and surrounded Shivaji's army During the bombing of Panhala, Siddi Jauhar had purchased grenades from British to increase his war capacity and also employed some British artillery to carry out some bombing Shivaji became angry because of this alleged betrayal because he had robbed Grenades from an English factory in Rajapur.

In 1666 Aurangzeb called Shivaji with his nine year old son, Sambhaji, in Agra Aurangzeb had plans to send Shivaji to Kandahar so that he could organize the Mughal empire in the northwestern frontier On May 12, 1666, Aurangzeb asked Shivaji to stand behind his officers in the court Shivaji considered it as an insult and raged at the court in anger. Shivaji was arrested immediately by Kotwal of Agra.

Shivaji now earned enough land and money from his military campaigns but he had not yet received any formal title The title of a king could have prevented them from coming forward Shivaji was given the title of Raja of Maratha in Raigad Panditas coronated with the holy water of seven rivers After Abhishek, Shivaji took blessings from Jijabai. Nearly 5000 people of Raigad were engrossed in that ceremony Shivaji was given the title of Chhatrapati too, Jijabai died after some days of coronation .

The coronation was done the second time while considering it as an oasis.  In 1680, Shivaji fell sick and left the world at the age of 52 After Shivaji's death, his wife Soyarabai planned to put his son Rajaram on the throne Instead of Sambhaji Maharaj, ten years Rajaram was placed on the throne Though Sambhaji then defeated the commander and took possession of Raigad Fort and sat on the throne himself Sambhaji Maharaj sent Rajaram, his wife Janaki Bai to jail and hanged mother Soyarabai on the charge of conspiracy Sambhaji Maharaj then fought for the Marathas for many years like a hero warrior After Shivaji's death, Marathas fought a war against the Mughals for 27 years and ultimately defeated the Mughals.
